Double Click is owned by Google and if you run good anti-wares you will notice that name.
I am not a Google is watching you type either, but I know google has lots of abilities of what they can do with all the collected data. Where does the data come from? If you are login to any google product, youtube, any site that you visit that is using google analytics is tracking and what becomes of that data only the Google gods know. Doubleclick feeds cookies to your PC and conflicting reports on how to remove them … maybe true or not. Spybot will detect them and some users state they remove them others say they are still present…

Google Is Top Tracker of Surfers in Study
By MIGUEL HELFT NYTimes
| June 2, 2009,

Those are some of the central findings of a new privacy study conducted by a group of graduate students at the University of California, Berkeley, which was released late Monday. The students at the School of Information — Joshua Gomez, Travis Pinnick and Ashkan Soltani — studied consumer expectations by looking at sources like complaints filed with the Federal Trade Commission and data collected by the state of California and a privacy group. They analyzed company practices using Ghostery, a browser plug-in that detects cookies, Web beacons and other types of trackers that allow third parties to gather information about Web site visitors, often without their knowledge.

Google showed up as the most conspicuous tracker on third-party sites. Google Analytics, a free product that allows online publishers to gather statistics about visitors to their sites, was used on 81 of the top 100 sites. Cookies from the advertising company DoubleClick, which is owned by Google, were present on 70 of those sites. When combining trackers from those two services, Google had a presence on 92 of the top 100 sites. Others weren’t far behind. Cookies from Atlas, Microsoft’s DoubleClick rival, appeared on 60 sites, and trackers from two other analytics companies, Quantcast and Omniture, showed up on 54 sites.

. . .

What is striking in the Berkeley students’ report is that in a sample of nearly 400,000 Web domains, Google’s presence remained high, at 88 percent, while those of other companies declined sharply. The second most frequent tracker in that sample was from an analytics company called StatCounter, which appeared on only 7 percent of domains. Assuming the data is accurate, it is a testimony to the widespread popularity of Google’s services like Analytics, DoubleClick and AdSense, the company’s contextual advertising network, which is used by a large percentage of Web sites small and large.

“I don’t know that anyone has identified the scope and depth of the coverage that Google has across the Web in terms of tracking,” Mr. Soltani said. “Our data shows that even if you are not going to Google, if you are browsing the Web they are collecting data about you.”

Not sure how much we should or should not be concerned about this but if your concerned then read on

Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File
You can use a HOSTS file to block ads, banners, 3rd party Cookies, 3rd party page counters, web bugs, and even most hijackers. This is accomplished by blocking the connection(s) that supplies these little gems.

Example – the following entry 127.0.0.1 ad.doubleclick.net blocks all files supplied by that DoubleClick Server to the web page you are viewing. This also prevents the server from tracking your movements. Why? … because in certain cases “Ad Servers” like Doubleclick (and many others) will try silently to open a separate connection on the webpage you are viewing, record your movements then yes … follow you to additional sites you may visit.

In many cases using a well designed HOSTS file can speed the loading of web pages by not having to wait for these ads, annoying banners, hit counters, etc. to load. This also helps to protect your Privacy and Security by blocking sites that may track your viewing habits, also known as “click-thru tracking” or Data Miners. Simply using a HOSTS file is not a cure-all against all the dangers on the Internet, but it does provide another very effective “Layer of Protection”.

I am so sick of searchinh for post about how to fix WP and everbody and their brother seems to say I can do that, when they don NOT have a clue how to.I have tried so many supposed fixes for increasing your recent post counts and none work untill I came across this guy.

If you want to know how to increase the number of ‘recent posts’ that appear in your WordPress sidebar here’s how you can do it.

The default maximum allowed is 15 – well I would like to have 30, so this will involve a little bit of hacking of WordPress’ PHP but it’s not difficult.

You need to locate the file ‘default-widgets.php’ which you will find in your wp-includes folder. For me because I’m using WordPress…

but it’s not difficult.

You need to locate the file ‘default-widgets.php’ which you will find in your wp-includes folder. For me because the code I need is on line 542 and 543. The code was as follows:

the rest is here

Increase number of recent posts

Hey Thanks a million

How can I increase the # of Recent Posts shown

Increase the Size of the “Recent Posts

Have you ever felt trapped because you didn’t have any money? I’ve felt like that my whole life, coming from a family with financial troubles. I desired very much in life to be able to change my families financial situation, but more then anything, I want to be able to pursue my dreams. I never wanted to hear my father stress over bills again, and I certainly didn’t want to be the one stressing either. So I worked up a plan and that plan was affiliate marketing.

So if you’ve just started in affiliate marketing or your looking for information, enable my success story to become of aid. Should you wish to make money online, the best way to do so is considered starting a home business. Nonetheless, that means you will need to take it as seriously as a business in case you would like to make money online. Working from home is genuinely quite grand, since you never have to leave home, you by no means must go outside and sell anybody something, and the most effective part is, You’re your OWN BOSS.

I’ve been earning money online for just more than a year now and it seriously can be a wonderful experience. A person of the most effective methods to promote your internet business is via video marketing. It is possible to do this by uploading videos using the appropriate keywords within the tags and titles.

Then you should upload your video to a video clip sharing/hosting internet site. As soon as your online video is up and running it really is heading to procedure initial and then it will start obtaining visitors. Individuals searching to make money online will see your picture.

This is where some individuals surrender. They upload one video in a week and wait to get all the money inside the planet. You can’t quit like that, specially on a business. The money is not waiting for you, so don’t wait on the money. Preserve it up and retain uploading. Your fate is inside your hands, your pride, your dreams, your honor and your future is on you. But using the help of a very good team you can quite nicely succeed, simply because as soon as again affiliate marketing is just not above anyone’s head it really is perfectly within your grasp.

I have had success online for over a year now and I’m making good money with my home business. Primarily, believing in your self is the first thing your going to need. It is a struggle, but someone who doesn’t quit is someone who will succeed. I’m asking you to fight for what you want in this world and make yourself a world leader in affiliate marketing. I’ve done it and you can too. The world needs Heroes, you could very well be the next one.

Or

The transparency and the passing of referring URLs with your eBay Partner Network links

You have come to the right spot.
1st… it is not your website, but rather a change on ebays side.If you are using BayRSS2 (free version or the paid for ) there is no fix for this problem as the support website is down (looks like it wont make it back this time)

We used to be a BayRSS user and had been for over 3 yrs pr more.I have grown tired of the support being what it is.sometime its there and then sometimes it is not.

I finally bought phpBay Pro, it took care of and fix the referring URLs problem in my eBPN.

**UPDATE**
see how I am using long tail keywords to rank and make more $$ Long Tails

I have used several niche finding keyword tools. Most just did not help. Some were just plain old junk.I was paying a hefty monthly fee for a keyword tool that was ok,but nothing great.

Someone sent me a link to Micro Niche Finder.I thought I would try it as the one time price appealed to me,along with some of the most sought after features I had seen yet.

Well it was by far the best I had used. Now I am writing this page to hopefully help other find the great niche research tool.(BTW my Adsense jumped double and has now triple since using this keyword search tool.

Get access now to the Niche Keyword Tool

Lets face it there are lots of big time claims out there ,all spouting about how you can use brand X software and then find low competition keywords with tons of monthly searchs. You just have to buy their software.and soon your on easy street because you have used their niche software…

Maybe so ,but probably NOT

But it really depends on just what the software does and where it gets its data from. You need good data but you also need a human being to interpent what is good and what is no good in keyword search results.

Good niche keyword research software should be getting its data from Google .,most of the niche keyword software out there gets data from meta tag type search engines

It must return results that you can zero in on to see what is a niche and what is not. Most keyword software gives a vague number for you to guess if this is a real niche or not

Our tool offers targeted search results with info such as
- intitle, inanchor, and inurl results is just one way to find the strength of your competition.

-The Measure of Backlink strength of the top results for that keyword. How many others offer this ?

-The Commercial intent of the keyword. If its just a picture site where you look at pictures, then its hard to make money at that as most come to look not buy.

-Cost of adsense ads and how many are currently running. If your getting 4,000 searchs a month but they are only paying $0.03 a click its tough to make money at that

-Domain name availability It is much easier to rank for a keyword if the domain name is the same as the keyword.Blue dog collars is much easy to rank if you SEO the domain name Bluedogcollars.com

There are many more features to this tool.

Micro Niche Finder

Get access to a tool that will speed up your niche keyword research and finding task

Niche Keyword tool Video
this is another great way to use this tool.

AllInTitle Results – This refers to the number of competing websites in Google search engine, where the keyword appears in the page title of web pages.

AllInTitle results is more indicative of the ‘true’ competition of a niche than “phrase match” or “broad match” results as most website owners place the search terms they want to target in the page title. So the lower the number of results, the less competitive the niche.

Lets look at some more

allintitle: – this search modifier shows only those pages which have all of your target keywords in their title
tags. This produces a focused set of competing pages, but it may exclude some high ranking pages if your
search term is drilled down to 3-4 word terms.
intitle: – this search modifier shows only those pages which have one ore more of your target keywords in their title tags. This will give you a broader look, and is usually a good indication of general competition.
inanchor: – this search modifier shows only those pages which have inbound links with anchor text that
includes one or more of your target keywords.
There are other search modifiers you can use (such as allinanchor: or enclosing search phrases in “” quotes
for more specific targeting) but using the above 3 modifiers is enough to give you a good overall picture of one
keyword’s competition.
Here’s how our term’s competition would look like if we used these search modifiers:

Keyword Effectiveness Index

The KEI compares the 24Hour result (number of times a keyword has appeared in our database) with the number of competing web pages to pinpoint exactly which keywords are most effective for your campaign.

In a nutshell – look for the keywords near the top. The higher the KEI, the more popular your keywords are, and the less competition they have. Which means you have a better chance of getting to the top.

According to the KEI definition, the best keywords are those that have many searches and that don’t have much competition in the search results.

However, the KEI makes no statement about the quality of the competition. While there might be only a few competitors in the search results, these competitors could be big players with big SEO teams and thousands of back links.
